Alma Iris Santiago, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on December 28, 2025. She was 73.
Ms. Santiago was born on September 4, 1952 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to the late Manuel Santiago and Maria Rodriguez. For many years she worked as a hotel clerk for the Bronx Park Motel.
She is survived by her daughters, Tanya Perez and her husband Christopher Torres, and Josephine Potente; her grandchildren, Raymond Perez and his wife Stephanie, Angelica Maria Potente, Vanessa Iris Potente, Daniela Alaina Potente, Krista Torres, and Christopher Torres Jr and his wife Irene; her great grandchildren, Angie Perez, Josiah Perez, Savannah Perez and Rayna Perez; her sister, Brenda Rojas and her husband David; her brother, Ramon Marrero and his wife Olga; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Monday, January 5 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, January 6 at 10am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 627 East 187th Street, Bronx. Interment will be private.
