Blanca Iris Cruz, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on March 29, 2021. She was 71.
Ms. Cruz was born on December 26, 1949 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Pedro Hernandez and Carmen Moran. She is survived by her daughters, Yesenia Cruz and Naomi Cruz-Akua; her sons, Miguel Cruz, Jose Ocasio, and Michael Hernandez; and her sisters, Beatrice Valentin and Yolanda Hernandez; her grandchildren, Sebastian Mathew Negron, Jazzly Negron, Hassan Akua, Tylee Castro, Willie Castro, Nailah Iris Akua, Lucas Hernandez, and Julian Cruz; and her great grandchild King Angel Messiah Galicia.
Visiting will be Thursday 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Family and friends who wish to attend the visitation virtually may do so by clicking the following link at any time during the visiting hours Cruz Virtual Visitation Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10am at Our Lady of Solace Church, 731 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
