Cesar Geronimo Aristy Medina, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on August 21, 2026. He was 84.
Mr. Aristy was born on September 21, 1941 in Villa Fundacion, Dominican Republic to the late Nicidio Emilio Aristy Tejada and Francisca Otimia Medina Castillo. A hard-working man since his early teens, he was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Selfless by nature, he helped many succeed without asking anything in return. He was a successful business owner whose ventures included working as a New York City Yellow Cab owner-operator, owning convenience stores in New York City, and running a successful home-goods import business for over 45 years in the Dominican Republic.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Leda Altagracia; his sons, Ariel, César Alejandro (Patricia), José David (Sary), and Gerónimo Omar; his grandchildren, Adrian Ariel, Patricia Alejandra, Sarah Lucia, David Nicholas, Daniel Alejandro, Aurelio Ariel, and Maximo Ariel; and daughter-in-law, Chrystele.
Visiting will be Saturday, August 29 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be in the Dominican Republic.
