Dolores Catauro, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, died on August 12, 2020. She was 89.
Mrs. Catauro was born in the Bronx on June 17, 1931 to the late Albert and Edith (Russo) Lucia. She is pre-deceased by her husband Mario Catauro and her daughter Lisa Catauro. She is survived by her son Carl Catauro and his former spouse Stephanie; her daughter Adrienne Gizzi and her husband Chris; Marcos Benitez (her late daughter Lisa’s significant other); her grandchildren, Ashley Williamson and her husband Jonathan, Christopher Catauro and his girlfriend Casey Young, Spencer Catauro, and Sophia Gizzi; and her great-grandchild Jaxon and soon to be great-grandchild Finn.
Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale. In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, http://StJude.org
