Jose Rafael Peralta Baez, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on March 1, 2026. He was 71.
Mr. Peralta Baez was born on July 5, 1954 in the Dominican Republic to Jose Peralta and Maria Baez. Throughout his career he worked as a jeweler, carpenter, and an architect. He is survived by his children, Jose Peralta III, Adriana Peralta, Alberto Peralta, and Marco Peralta; his step children, Ivanna Dominguez and Danilo Guzman; his longtime partner, Yvette Guzman; and his grandchildren, Jose Peralta IV, Adriana Ashley Espinal Peralta, Adrian Espinal Peralta, Christopher Peralta Peña, and Matthew Peralta Peña.
Visiting will be Thursday, March 5 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx.
