Juan Antonio Ortiz Davila

Juan Antonio Ortiz Davila, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on December 21, 2023. He was 62.

Mr. Ortiz was born on January 24, 1961 in Puerto Rico to Ana Davila and the late Candido Ortiz. Juan Ortiz’ journey in this world may have ended but his legacy will continue. He believed strongly in family values and helping others. He loved playing softball with his team, “La Chercha”. Juan, also known as Tadeo, loved all his family – his wife, mother, siblings, god children, nieces and their children, and nephews. He also loved his friends. Juan’s work experience was to assist anyone in need. As the saying goes…”Those who part from this world, die when they are forgotten.” Tadeo, we will never forget you. Como dice el dicho…..”No se muere quien se va de este mundo, sino el que se olvida.” Tadeo, nunca de olvidaremos.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Gonzalez; his mother, Ana Davila; his siblings, Sandra Ortiz, Orlando Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Minerva Ortiz, Ana Davila (Tita), and Patria Davila; his god children, Lexyer Rodriguez and Xavier Alvarado; all of his nieces and nephews; and all of his great nieces and great nephews.

Visiting will be Saturday from 3-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be at Cementerio de Villa Palmeras, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
