Manfredi “Dino” Secola

Manfredi “Dino” Secola, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on January 20, 2025. He was 88.

Mr. Secola was born on March 18, 1936 in Ginestra Degli Schiavoni, Italy to the late Giovanni and Giuseppina Secola. He brought his family to America with a dream of building a better future. Through hard work and unwavering dedication, he turned that dream into a reality, creating a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those he cherished. He is survived by his wife Lucia, his children Marco (Anna) and Lorenzo (Aimee), and his grandchildren, Lorenzo (Sabrina), Francesca, Luca, and Joseph. He is also survived by his sister Mena and brother Fedele, along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Vilna. 

He was a man of extraordinary resilience and spirit. An avid runner, he accomplished the remarkable feat of completing multiple marathons, a testament to his strength and determination. His love for life and boundless energy inspired everyone around him, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was always smiling, radiating joy and positivity to everyone he met.

Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Family and friends wishing to attend the visitation virtually may do so by clicking the following link at any time during the visiting hours Secola Virtual Visitation Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
