With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Ottavia “Nonie” Mendogni, who left this world on Monday, March 17, 2025. She was a pillar of strength, kindness, and love—a woman whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
Nonie was the heart of our family, always offering a comforting presence and unconditional love. Her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones, sharing stories, laughter, and the traditions that made our family strong. Her home was always filled with the aroma of delicious meals, the sounds of laughter, and an open door to all who needed a loving embrace.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Lino Mendogni and John Mendogni, and their loving wives, Susan Mendogni and Dora Mendogni. She was a cherished grandmother to Caitlyn Mendogni and Brittany Nocito, who, along with her husband, Mike Nocito, brought so much joy to her life. Nonie’s love extended to her great-grandchildren, Luca and Mia Nocito, who were the light of her later years. Nonie adored her time with her grandson Alan Ramirez and his beautiful wife Jessica Schubert Ramirez.
Nonie was more than a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother—she was a treasured friend, a source of wisdom, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed by her family, dear friends, and all who were lucky enough to be touched by her kindness.
