Raffaele “Ralph” Reda, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on April 18, 2026. He was 58 years old.
Ralph was born in Carolei, a small town in the Calabria region of southern Italy, on July 2, 1967 to Luigi Domenico and Franca Reda. On October 14, 2000, he married the love of his life Helen Martucci.
Ralph had a deep appreciation for music, as shown through his lifelong passion for playing the drums. An artistic person, Ralph also expressed himself through his drawings, bringing his ideas to life on paper. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends over a homemade meal. Ralph’s laugh was truly infectious and his sense of humor unforgettable.
He is predeceased by his father Luigi Domenico and survived by his mother Franca; his wife Helen; his brother Maurizio and his wife Stefanie; his father-in-law John and mother-in-law Louise; his sister-in-law Barbara and her husband Dean; his niece Juliana; his nephews Vincent, Nicholas, and Vincent; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting will be held at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx on Wednesday, April 22 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1027 Rhinelander Avenue, Bronx followed by cremation at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Avenue, Bronx.
