Stacey Ann Fallo, 60, loving wife, sister, sister-in law, and aunt passed away on May 26, 2024.
Born and raised in the Bronx, a city girl through and through, Stacey’s forays into the “country” were a cross between Gilligan’s Island and I Love Lucy. High heels and multiple suitcases for an overnight in the snow and ice-covered boonies of Connecticut, prompting the proprietor to comment, “Yup, from the city.” And driving from Texas to Oklahoma in awe of a field of cows, wondering which one tells the other cows when to move or sleep. Who is the head cow? And she was so excited to see cowboys with spurs on their boots.
The spitting image of actress Melanie Griffith, Stacey was the quintessential working girl, riding the express bus to Manhattan, where she had made many friends. Stacey, a highly respected colleague, was a vice president of finance, most recently at Wells Fargo, and had worked in the banking industry for over 30 years.
Stacey loved her Saturday night dinners and a good martini, but what she truly loved was cooking dinner for her family. Her Sunday dinners for Mom and Dad Fallo, Auntie M, and her brother Tommy were legendary, as were her Easter dinners. Her meatballs were the best and biggest, and veal cutlets and purple mashed potatoes were a special treat. She would make enough food for an army—literally—and the leftovers were greatly appreciated by anyone lucky enough to be given a tray, including those at Van Nest Lanes. And she was quite the bowler!
Designer handbags, island vacations, cruises, spa weekends, lottery tickets, and glitter (she sprinkled it in birthday cards) are some of the things that she loved, and we loved about her. Stacey sparkled with love and laughter, generosity, grace, and courage.
Stacey is survived by her husband of 37 years, Glenn Fallo, her sister Kerri Ellsworth (Steve), and brother Tommy Hall, her stepbrother, Robert Ferri (Millie), and her niece, nephews, and great-nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation to the American Cancer Society be made in Stacey’s Memory. After clicking the link simply search and enter Team name “Stacey Fallo Memorial” set up by Kerri Ellsworth.
Memorial Visiting will be Wednesday, June 5 from 3-6pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
