It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Delia Ojeda, who left us on November 24, 2024. Delia was born on November 10, 1931, in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, to Maria Vasquez and Faustino Garcia. At the age of 17, she married Felix Ojeda Falcon on June 19, 1948, and together they had eight children: Victor Ojeda, Luz M. Ojeda, Josefina Ojeda, Haydee Nicot, Norma Ojeda Serrano, Felix Ojeda Jr., Roberto Ojeda, and Elizabeth Pitre.
Delia was a cherished mother and wife, known for her gentle and loving spirit. She prayed for each and every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren individually, instilling in them a deep love of God. Music and dancing were integral parts of her love language, and she was always unselfish, ensuring every visitor had a cup of coffee or a meal. Her affectionate ways endeared her to all she met.
She was blessed with 16 grandchildren: Linette, Valerie, Richie, Victor David, Emily, Anthony, Angelo, Eric, Michelle, Carlos Jr., Jacqueline, Roberto, Brandon, Jessica, Christina, and Christian. She also had 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Delia was deeply involved in the Catholic Church through the Sacred Heart of Mary, wearing her white habit as a symbol of modesty, with a blue cord representing two promises she made to Jesus Christ. Those promises were kept between her and God.
Delia is now resting in peace, reunited with her beloved husband, Felix, and their two sons, Victor and Robert.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
