Ileana Perez, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on January 28, 2021. She was 62.
Mrs. Perez was born on August 15, 1958 in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico to Celia and the late Guaybana Morales. Ileana dedicated her life to providing housing and mental health services to disenfranchised populations in the Bronx. She served as a director at H.O.G.A.R. Inc, a non-profit organization assisting elderly, mentally ill, homeless, and physically challenged individuals.
Ileana is the loving spouse of Pedro Perez, to whom she was married and inseparable from for 38 years. She is the devoted mother to her daughter Regine Perez and son PJ Perez; and grandmother to her rays of sunshine, Dylan and Davin. She is the sister of Heberto Morales, and the daughter of Celia and Guaybana Morales, all of whom she loved and cared for profoundly.
Visiting will be Sunday from 2-6pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10am at Our Lady of Solace Church, 731 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx.
