Lidia Rose Fata, a longtime resident of the Bronx, passed away on February 5, 2025, at the age of 96.
Lidia was born on June 18, 1928, in Carolei, Cosenza, Italy to the late Ernesto and Carolina (Orrico) Zicarelli. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother known for her deep love of God and her family.
Lidia is survived by her children, Grace (Giuseppe) Ierna, Caroline (James) Cooke and Anthony (Angela) Fata; her 9 grandchildren, Joseph, Salvatore, James, Alessandra, John, Krystina, Sabrina, Brittany, and Rebecca; and 12 great-grandchildren (with one on the way). She was predeceased by her brother, Franco Zicarelli, and the love of her life, John Fata, with whom she is now finally reunited with.
Visiting will be Friday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.
