Joseph A. Lucchese’s Bronx Funeral Home offers affordable funeral service options for families who have lost loved ones. You can choose more traditional services with visitation or private direct burials that fit your budget.
Traditional funeral services consist of visiting for an afternoon and evening at the funeral home and a religious service. Many families prefer this option. We offer simpler options like visiting in the morning only or a direct cremation with no services at all.

Our Pricing & Offerings for Burials
Burial with Full Visitation and Traditional Funeral Services- $6,995
This is the most common option selected by a family. Many families choose this option because it gives you a wider range of times that family and friends can offer their condolences. Visitation hours would be from 4-8pm.
The following morning family and friends would gather back at the funeral home for a short visitation- followed by a religious service at the funeral home or church, if desired, and then the burial.
The cost of our Burial with Full Visitation and Traditional Funeral Services option would be $6,995. Our charges would include:
- the removal from the place of death
- embalming (there will be an additional charge if autopsy or organ donation)
- dressing and placing the deceased in the casket
- our basic arrangement charge
- supervision for visitation and supervision for the funeral service
- use of the funeral home for visitation
- a hearse for the morning of the funeral

- memorial photo slideshow
- livestream of visitation
In addition to our funeral home charges you may have the following fees if desired by family or required by cemetery:

Burial with Visitation in the Morning Only and Traditional Funeral Services- $6,495
While many families are opting for limited services, most would like to have at least a short visitation to allow family and friends to offer their condolences. The hours of visitation would be from 10am to 12pm- and families can have a religious service during that time in the funeral home or a church service. After the visitation we would have the burial.
The cost of our Burial with Visitation in the Morning Only and Traditional Funeral Services option would be $6,495. Our charges would include:

Other families have opted not to have any visitation at all at the funeral home but would still like a religious service. This option would give them the ability to meet at a church for services with the burial immediately following the services.
The cost of our Church Services with No Visiting option would be $5,990. Our charges would include:
- the removal from the place of death
- dressing and placing the deceased in the casket
- our basic arrangement charge
- supervision for the funeral service
- a hearse for the morning of the funeral.

Some families have opted not to have any visitation at all at the funeral home nor services at a church. This option would give them the ability to meet at the cemetery directly for services at graveside with the burial immediately following the services.
The cost of our Graveside Services with No Visiting option would be $5,990. Our charges would include:
- the removal from the place of death
- dressing and placing the deceased in the casket
- our basic arrangement charge
- supervision for supervision for the funeral service
- a service vehicle to transport the deceased for the morning of the funeral.

Many families that opt for a Direct Cremation also feel the need to have some kind of memorialization after the cremation takes place. The cost of our Direct Cremation with Memorial Service option would be $5,490. Our charges would include:

- dressing and placing the deceased in the container
- our basic arrangement charge
- supervision to bring the deceased to the crematory
- a service vehicle to transport the deceased
- 5 minute identification of the deceased via Zoom

Some families who choose to have a cremation with no visitation or services elect to come in to the funeral home to make an identification in person. The cost of our Direct Cremation with Identification option would be $4,385. Our charges would include:

- a wood-based cremation container
- dressing and placing the deceased in the container
- our basic arrangement charge
- supervision to bring the deceased to the crematory
- a service vehicle to transport the deceased
- use of the funeral home for a 10 minute identification of the deceased at the with no more than 3 family members

Our Pricing & Offerings for the Shipping of Human Remains
Shipping human remains is one of our specialties. Every country has different requirements when it comes to shipping human remains. We have contacts at all of the consulates and embassies and are able to expedite any paperwork that's required. While its difficult to outline every country's requirements in almost all cases we would need the following:
- deceased's passport
- name and town that cemetery is located
- name, address, and telephone number of funeral home or person overseas taking control of remains
- name of airport being shipped into
While we can't outline the charges for every country, we most commonly ship to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Most families choose to have visitation and religious services at the funeral home- followed by the shipping.

We realize the expense of caring for the death of your loved one is often unplanned and unexpected. Our Bronx Funeral Home has established a uniform payment policy to serve all families fairly. We accept:
- Personal funds (cash or check)
- Credit cards
- Life Insurance Assignment from verified policy
- Financing
We now work with Lending USA, a company that offers an affordable funding option for our families. If approved, you may have absolutely no out-of-pocket expense.
Being a small business and the uncertainty regarding estate payments, we are not able to file against estates for payment.
