Aurora Baldino, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on October 31, 2019. She was 76.
Mrs. Baldino was born on May 16, 1943 in Puerto Rico to the late Jose and Isabel (Andujar) Ruiz. For many years before her retirement she worked as a cook for the New York City Board of Education.
She is survived by her sons, Michael DiMurro and his wife Belinda, Vincent DiMurro and his wife Ana, and Jason DiMurro and his wife Yogi; her grandchildren, Linda, Jose, Victoria, Savanna, Adrian, Viana, Tino John, Danielle, and Esther; her brothers and sisters; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Wednesday 9am to 11am at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11am at Our Lady of Solace Church, 731 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne.
It’s kind of crazy I was even mentioned here since I haven’t seen aurora a.k.a Doris since I was 17 and my mother kicked me out for smoking cigarettes. It’s unfortunate that it’s now 2021 and I’m finding out through the internet something that happened 2yrs ago that a person who is supposed to be my mother and wife of auroras son didn’t even have the decency to inform me so I can pay my respects. Why,… Because she didn’t want to deal with telling the family where I’ve been for the past 17yrs.
