Bruno Bertuzzi, a resident of Hicksville and formerly of the Bronx, died on October 7, 2019. He was 90.
Mr. Bertuzzi was born on June 16, 1929 in Coli, Piacenza, Italy to the late Carlo and Ernestine (Folini) Bertuzzi. On June 2, 1956 he married Carmela Neglia. She died on January 4, 2011. For many years before his retirement he was a concrete mason and a member of Local 780 for over 60 years.
He is survived by his sons, Anthony Bertuzzi and his wife Laura and Robert Bertuzzi and his wife Diana; his daughter, Carol Waring and her husband John; his grandchildren, Robert Bertuzzi, Jr. and his wife Beth, Anthony Bertuzzi, Christopher Bertuzzi and his wife Tiffany, Stephanie Bertuzzi, Lauren Bertuzzi, Liane Battista, and Joseph Battista; his great-grandchildren, Shaden Corkery, Sean Corkery, Brianna Bertuzzi, Adriana Corkery, Anya Bertuzzi, Gabriella Bertuzzi, Juliette Bertuzzi, James Ross, and Aria Bertuzzi; his sisters, Lina Gazzola and her husband the late Ernesto and Rosa Bertuzzi; his brother, Romeo Bertuzzi and his wife Ermana; his sister-in-law, Josephine Bertuzzi; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his brothers, Pino Bertuzzi and Gino Bertuzzi, and his sisters, Luisa Atti and her husband Vittorio and Jenny Favarato and her husband Ricardo.
Visiting will be Wednesday and Thursday 4-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10:45am at St. John the Baptist Church, 662 Yonkers Avenue, Yonkers, Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.
