Carmen Nydia Belardo, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on October 26, 2025. She was 89.
Mrs. Belardo was born on July 16, 1936 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She is survived by her son, Marc Valcarcel and his wife Julie Valcarcel; her daughter, Darlene Garcia and her husband Lazaro Garcia; her grandchildren, Gabriel Garcia and his wife Iris Garcia, Giancarlo Valcarcel and his wife and Jennifer Valcarcel, Leanne Schiano and her husband Vincenzo Schiano, and Tei-moc Valcarcel. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Jose Belardo who died on May 24, 2024.
Visiting will be Wednesday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1900 Crotona Parkway, Bronx. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery, 750 East Linden Avenue, Linden, New Jersey.
