Onorio D. Malvesi, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on October 19, 2025. He was 87.
Mr. Malvesi was born on April 4, 1938 in the village of Casalvieri within the Lazio region of Italy located in the province of Fosinone, Italy to the late Romolo and Anna Luretta (Petrilli) Malvesi. He studied the art of tailoring in Rome and at the age of 18 took his skills to work in Brazil. There he met his wife Gilda and moved to America in 1966 with their first daughter. In America he continued to work as a tailor and then began his new career running his own pizzeria. After 30 plus years he retired from the pizza business and continued to work for Cablevision as a technician. Within the many career choices he favored Cablevision the most- where he made close friends that he considered family. He had rich life and was loved by his family and friends. They have all gained a Guardian Angel.
He is survived by his wife Gilda (Donadio) Malvesi; his daughter Ana Lucia Giardullo and her husband Rosario Giardullo, and their daughters Nicole and Sabrina; and his daughter Lisa Malvesi-Fleetwood and her husband Jon Fleetwood and her sons Tyler and Devan.
Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1703 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx
