Juan and Norma worked to support their family, in a factory, supermarket, and in a jewelry shop. In 1984 God called him to become a Pastor. When he was on the street drinking with his friends one day he heard a voice call his name while drinking on the way to do a service in the street at 10:00 at night. Listening to the preaching of a Pastor, he recognized that the Lord was calling him. The message is based on John 6:37. “Everything the Father gives me will come to me; and he who comes to me, I will not throw him out”. The next day he visited the church whose Pastor was Rev. Cardona. During the first two years he went to church alone – but he maintained his faith that his wife was going to come to the ways of the Lord. After two years his wife Norma came to the ways of the Lord. They were serving the Lord in the Church of all Todas las Almas. After the six years they served the Lord in the Second Jerusalem church. After the year Juan and Norma opened their first work called Second Jerusalem Pentecostal Mission, located at 1228 Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. After 10 years there they moved with the Lord’s permission to a larger location called Centro Cristiano Emanuel at 2612 Third Ave in Bronx. For 35 years Juan Santiago was the Pastor of the church Centro Cristiano Emanuel until his last breath. As a husband, as a father, and as a Pastor, he was a great example for his family and for the brothers and sisters of the faith. On this day we do not mourn his death but we celebrate his life, a very happy life. Full of many good memories with his family and the church. We thank God for him, and for his love. We will never forget him. We will not say goodbye to you but we will say until later. Neydie, Dad, and Pastor.

    Hi, Neydi!

My name is Ana. Pastor Juan invited my father Nicolás to preach at his church several times in the 90s. Nicolás appreciated him very much and always spoke with love and respect about him.

I was searching for Juan Santiago’s contact to share a book about the 40 years of ministry and close relationship with The Lord that Nicolás left me to publish. Pastor Santiago would have loved it.

Today I can see that Pator Santiago has gone to live with Jesus and so did Nicolás Garcia in September 2020. They are both reaping the many fruits they sow. My deepest sympathy for the family!

    Best regards,
