Tylon Nockia Lee, Sr., born on December 22, 1977, to the union of the late Catherine and Willie Jefferson.
Tylon began his early education in Hartford, Connecticut, where he attended Waverly Elementary School and Fox Middle School. He later relocated to New York City and attended Morris High School in the Bronx. He dedicated 18 years of service to the New York Sports Club and 7 years to the Intrepid Museum.
A truly devoted and loving father, Tylon cherished his son, Tylon Jr. He was a hands-on dad who enjoyed taking numerous trips, playing video games together, and simply loved spending quality time with Junior. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his son. Tylon’s love extended to all of his family, from New York to Connecticut and beyond. He did his best to spend time with all of them, and his greatest wish was to have all of his family gathered together.
Tylon was preceded in death by his Father Willie Jefferson, Mother and Step-Father, Catherine & Archibald Douglas and his grandmother, Clara C. Lee.
Tylon departed this life unexpectedly on June 22, 2025. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Tylon Lee Jr.; his sister, Shawntee Jones; nieces, Brianna and Brielle Jones; brother-in-law, Mario Jones; goddaughter, Octavia Phoenix; aunts, Carol Alexander, Theresa Jefferson, and Diane Edwards; uncles, Herbert Lee, Johnathan Williams, Victor Jefferson, and Wilbert Jefferson. He also leaves behind his first cousins: Christina, Delvia, Mayana, Kenik, Steve, Sharese, Monee, Jasmine, Suzette, Curtis, Shante, Essence, Carla, Lloyd, David, Jermaine, Johnathan, Precious, Karissa, Connie, and Kaliyah. Tylon will be deeply missed by his lifelong friends, Will R. and Jeanie Love
(Junior’s Godparents), Jerjuan Villin, Andrea Chocolate, his companion Melissa C., and a host of extended family and friends.
