Danny Galella, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, died on September 6, 2025. He was 66.
Mr. Galella was born on January 6, 1959 in the Bronx to the late Archangelo and Lucia (Remollino) Galella. For many years before his retirement he worked as a detective for the New York City Police Department- having been a 9/11 first responder.
He is survived by his wife Denise (Pagano) Galella; his children, Danny and Dina; his granddaughter, Aria; and his siblings, Angela, Theresa, and Mario.
Visiting will be Wednesday from 3-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1908 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
