Robert D. Crandall, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on March 29, 2026. He was 49.

Mr. Crandall was born on July 16, 1976 in Queens to James and Lizzie (Ray) Crandall. While working at Mutual of America, he earned two Bachelor’s degrees, various insurance certifications, and a black belt in Karate. He had a passion for travel, visiting many historical and exotic locations with his wife, Olympia. He also loved to strength train at the gym, watching and playing basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Olympia Crandall; his mother, Lizzie Crandall; his stepfather, Christopher Sanguinette; and his sons, Robert Duval Crandall Jr. and Jarvis Victor Crandall. He is also survived by his brother, Jamel Victor Crandall, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James Crandall.

Visiting will be Tuesday, April 7 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
