Mercedes Payas, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on April 10, 2026. She was 83.
Ms. Payas was born on March 4, 1943 in New York City to the late Joseph and Luz (Casanova) Payas. For many years before her retirement she worked as a business manager.
Interment will be private.
