Gloria Del Grosso died at the age of 89 on July 30, 2024 at her home of over 50 years in Morris Park, the Bronx.

She was born on May 25, 1935 to Rose and Richard at their family home on 151st Street. She was the second child following her brother Richard, who she affectionately called Sonny. The family of four were very close. She attended PS.3 Elementary School and Walton High School. Gloria married Tommy Pulcino in 1955.

Gloria loved commuting to work at Fabricators in downtown Manhattan on Maiden Lane.

She was also very proud of her 25 year tenure at the Einstein Campus of Montefiore and was the right hand woman to her boss Dan. She loved her work so much that she retired twice, with the final time being at age 77.

Gloria often said that she was born in the wrong generation and proudly lived a life with no regrets. She enjoyed traveling, going out dancing, and spending time at the beach, especially “tar beach.” Most of all, she enjoyed having quality time with the people she loved. She was an extraordinary friend and confidant for so many, and she was someone who always made you feel heard and seen. Her advice, words of wisdom, and life mottos will never be forgotten.

Gloria is predeceased by her mother, father, brother, grandparents, best friend Tootie Rose, and her many pets. She is survived by her goddaughter Susan, her niece Christina, best friend JoAnn (Don), and nephew Philip, her cousins Tina, Maria, Morgan, Steven, Daniel, Joseph (Janet), James (Patricia) and her beloved cat, Allie.

Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.
