In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother and Grandmother

Aida Iris Ramos, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on October 6, 2026. She was 84.

Mrs. Ramos was born on November 15, 1941 in Caguas, Puerto Rico to the late Miguel Angel Ramos Lopez and Maria Enriqueta Flores Guzman.

A woman of many talents, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit, she lived a life filled with hard work, creativity, and love for her family. Throughout her life, she embraced many roles. She was a talented seamstress and hairstylist, a daycare owner, a foster parent, an event planner, and a businesswoman. Her entrepreneurial ventures included working in the pharmaceutical industry, financial advising, food vending at Crotona Park, seasonal pasteles sales, tobacco distribution, tenant association manager and medical billing. Whatever opportunity came her way, she was never afraid to take on something new.

Above all, her greatest legacy was her family. She is survived by her seven children: Miguel Angel Vazquez, Aidaris Calderon, Aida Roman, Efrain Escobar, Carmen Colon, Evelyn Colon, and Ailene Colon, along with her 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Her strength, resilience, and vibrant spirit will forever be remembered. Though deeply missed, her love and legacy will live on through the generations she leaves behind.

Visiting will be Saturday, October 10 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
