Anna Kiernan, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on October 22, 2026. She was 98.
Mrs. Kiernan was born on November 2, 1927 in New York City to the late Rocco and Jennie (Manfredi) Tancredi. For many years before her retirement she worked as a cook for the New York City Department of Education. She is pre-deceased by her husband John P. Kiernan, who died on June 16, 1971. She is survived by her son, James Kiernan.
Visiting will be Sunday, October 25 from 3-7pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 26 at 11am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
