Anna M. Brusco, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on August 21, 2026. She was 83.
Ms. Brusco was born on January 18, 1943 in New York City to the late Antonio and Filomena (DeRosa) Brusco. For many years before her retirement she worked as an assistant payroll clerk for Verizon.
Visiting will be Wednesday, August 26 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 27 at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Balcom Avenue, Bronx.
Eternal rest grant onto Anna, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her and all the faithful departed.

Anna was my mom’s best friend and our adopted aunt growing up. I remember her incredible sense of humor, the laughter that she brought with her everywhere she went, and the positive energy she had. She was a beautiful person, a wonderful friend, and a breath of fresh air for everyone that had the pleasure of being with her. Anna was also tremendously generous. She didn’t have much, but never forgot my birthday for 25 years. She would send a card with sometimes a $5 bill or even check for $10. She gave what she had. She gave from her big heart and I will never forget her kindness, sense of humor and her big Bronx accent. What a beautiful one of a kind she was!
Anna was an outgoing lady who enjoyed her family and friends. She was authentic in the way she lived her life and her faith in Jesus and Mary. May she rest in the peace of Christ.
