Anthony “Tony” Buono, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on July 28, 2021. He was 93.
Mr. Buono was born on October 6, 1927 in Brooklyn to the late Rocco and Anna (Damiani) Buono. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed playing golf and planting in his garden. After working many years he retired from the Ford Motor Company as a Master Service Technician.
He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary (nee Desiderioscioli); his sons, John Buono and his wife Mabel and Joseph Buono; his daughters, Ann Buono and Cara Buono and her husband Peter Thum; and his granddaughter Esmé Thum.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton.
