Antoinette Penta, 80, of Bronx, New York passed away on October 31, 2024, with her family by her side.

She was born in the Bronx on March 16, 1944. Antoinette was the ninth of ten children of Thomas and Anna Miano who lived on Colden Avenue. Antoinette graduated from Columbus High School and worked as a file clerk.

Antoinette was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was married to Michael Penta for thirty-nine years to whom she was predeceased. They raised their children in the Morris Park section of the Bronx. Antoinette is survived by her three children: Janine Broderick, Lisa Penta, and Michael Penta, along with her son-in-law, Timothy Broderick, and daughter-in-law, Elena Penta. She was also a loving nanny to four beautiful grandchildren: Olivia, Emma, Mia, and Peyton, whom she adored. Antoinette was a devoted Catholic who deeply loved her family, friends, and country. She was generous, kind, and caring. She always put dear ones first and had a heart of gold.

Visiting will be Monday and Tuesday from 4 – 8 pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale.

    Aunt Antoinette, Thank you for all the great memories growing up. You would dress us up and Marcus all around ,with the American Flag.Such beautiful times and I’m forever grateful. You were loved and you will surely be missed. Thank you for always thinking of AnnaRose. Your cards made her smile. Hope you’re rejoicing with all your loved ones.     Aunt Antoinette you have filled our lives with so many memories on special occasions and holidays. There was always a Birthday and Holiday card waiting for me. You opened your home with such love and I will so miss our holidays together ❤ Being by your side during the last 4 months have been an honor. God was present with us. I know you are now at rest!     Antoinette….you were more than just a neighbor, you were a dear friend-family. Many good memories of decorating the front yards together for all the various holidays. But more than that you decorated your family, your friends & anyone you met with your kindness & love.

    You truly were a beautiful person & you never be forgotten.
