Edith (Ambrosini) Sasser

Edith (Ambrosini) Sasser, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 due to COVID-19 complications. She was 74.

She was born on June 17, 1946 in the Bronx to the late Angelina (Caroccio) Ambrosini and Walter Ambrosini. Edith attended Evander Childs High School. She is pre-deceased by her husband Woodrow Sasser, whom she married in the Bronx in 1967.

Edith is survived by her two children, Annmarie Sasser Bracone of the Bronx and Paul Sasser of Greenville, South Carolina; her brother, Ronald Ambrosini of Mahwah, New Jersey; and her four grandchildren, Laura, Rachel, and Julia Sasser and Eliana Bracone. Her other brother, Michael Ambrosini, passed away in 1986.  She is also survived by her son-in-law Christopher Bracone, her daughter-in-law Carol Ann Sasser, and her sister-in-law Marilyn Galdieri-Ambrosini.

Edith lived a simple and quiet life. She enjoyed being around family and friends. She went on many outings with her Senior Citizen Center. She loved sharing her Senior Citizen trip stories with her family and friends. Everyone liked Edith – she was always kind and considerate.

    Scott and I are so sorry we couldn’t be there to share your grieving in person. We want you to know how saddened we were to hear the passing of your mom, Edith. I didn’t know she had the same birthday as me, 6/17! When COVID is over (it has to be over soon) we would love to celebrate her life at a dinner with you and Chris. Love, Sharon & Scott

    I would like to know where Edith is buried?

      She was buried at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in their Holy Cross section on February 17, 2021.
