Edna Mae Una Taylor, a longtime resident of Brooklyn, died on December 11, 2024. She was 73.
Ms. Taylor was born on March 22, 1951 in Fortune Island, Bahamas to the late Richard Alexander and Mary Louise (DeCosta) Taylor. For many years before her retirement she worked as an administrative assistant for the City of New York. A hopeless romantic, Edna published several romance novels including the Love Has No Color trilogy.
Ms. Taylor was a Dean at the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research.
She is survived by her son, David Spence and her daughters, Ayana Brown and Laura Gibson. Edna had four grandchildren, Ian, Jailyn, Nathaniel, and Taj.
Visiting will be Saturday from 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
