Elisabetta D’Urbano, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on April 15, 2022. She was 84.
Mrs. D’Urbano was born on May 16, 1937 in Italy to the late Vincenzo and Antonietta (Suriano) Paladino. She worked as a packer for Stella D’Oro Bakery in the Bronx for many years before her retirement. She is pre-deceased by her husband Michele D’Urbano, who died in 2018. She is survived by her sons, Giovanni D’Urbano and his wife Armida, and Anthony D’Urbano and his wife Christina; her daughters, Maria Letizia Esposito and her husband Anthony, and Gabriella Corrado; 13 grandchildren, Domenico, Elisabetta, Alexander, Anthony, Michela, Maria, Nicollette, Celeste, Joseph, Michael, Andrew, Victoria, and Giovanni; 5 great-grandchildren, Riccardo, Scarlett, Federico, Viviana, and Carmella; 2 brothers, Nicola Paladino and his wife the late Giovanna, and Gino Paladino and his wife Assunta; 2 sisters, Francesca Pettinari and Maria Paladino and her husband the late Belardo; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also pre-deceased by one brother, Giuseppe Paladino and his wife Enrica.
Visiting will be Tuesday from 8:30am to 10:30am at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Family and friends wishing to attend the visiting virtually may do so by clicking the following link at any time during the visiting hours D’Urbano Visiting Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 11am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer contributions in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
