General James Rodgers, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died at home on March 8, 2017. He was 70.
Mr. Rodgers was born on January 25, 1947 in Buffalo, New York to the late Rufus and Fannie Rodgers. He worked for many years in the insurance industries and enjoyed taking photographs at weddings and special events. He is pre-deceased by his wife Ella Rodgers, who he was married for for over 20 years until her death in 2012. He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Terri Rodgers Thornton and her husband Anthony Thornton, Sr. and Cynthia Latoya Rodgers; his son, General James Rodgers, Jr. and his wife Alischa; his granddaughter, Mikaylah Rodgers; and his grandson Anthony Thornton, Jr.
