Gladys Cuya, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on January 1, 2024. She was 77.
Mrs. Cuya was born on May 20, 1946 in Lima, Peru to the late Esteban and Maria Dolores (Avila) Cuya. She is survived by her daughter, Gladys Atiles; her granddaughter, Stephanie Atiles; and her siblings, Elo Cuya and his wife Angelita, Victor Cuya and his wife Dora, Benedicto Cuya and his wife Sara, Zulema Cuya de Leon and her husband Luis, and Candy Amorin. She is pre-deceased by her sister, Hilda Eugenio.
Visiting will be Friday from 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30am at Our Lady of Solace Church, 731 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
