Ida Farina (nee Nardella) passed away peacefully in New City, New York on June 20, 2020 at the age of 99.
She was preceded in death by her husband Luis Farina, their daughter Luisa Carmella Farina and her two brothers Mateo and Alfred. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Maria Farina, Nora DeClario and her spouse Steven, and Clara Riconda and her spouse Gerard. In addition, she leaves behind three grandchildren Nicholas DeClario and his spouse Erin, Marissa DeClario and her fiancé Michael Woodman and Michael Riconda. She also leaves behind two great grandchildren Connor and Evelyn DeClario, Mamma, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, will be greatly missed.
She was born in San Marco in Lamis, Italy, immigrated to the United States, raised her family in the Bronx, New York and worked as a professional seamstress.
Viewing will be held Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 1 at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 754 Gun Hill Road, Bronx, New York. Interment will follow at 10:45 am at Woodlawn Cemetery, East 233rd Street and Webster Avenue, Bronx, New York.
