Joan Helen Romano, a resident of the Bronx, died on June 8, 2019. She was 81.
Ms. Romano was born on January 14, 1938 in the Bronx to the late Vincenzo and Annunziata (Cerrone) Romano. She worked as a para professional in the New York City Board of Education and was also a burial supervision for the Westchester County Department of Social Services. She was an active member of St. Clare’s Church in Morris Park.
She is survived by her son Vincent Romano and his wife Tracy; her grandsons, Enzo and Rafael Romano; her granddaughter who is due in August; her brother James Romano; and her lifelong friend Kathryn Ruth.
Visiting will be Wednesday 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1027 Rhinelander Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Jackson Avenue and Saw Mill River Road, Hastings-on-Hudson.
