Jose Miguel “Mikey” Crespo, a longtime resident of Morris Park, Bronx, died on December 9, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born on March 26, 1942, in Rincon, Puerto Rico, to the late Sinecio and Mercedes (Munoz) Crespo.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jose Miguel Crespo, lovingly known as “Mikey,” on December 9, 2023, due to natural causes. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mikey proudly served his country in the US Army, demonstrating unwavering dedication to his fellow citizens. He was not only a soldier but also a loving father, brother, and friend.

As a devoted father, he is survived by his loving sons, Michael and Derrick. He was also a cherished grandfather to Derrick’s children, Derrick Jr., and Alexa. Additionally, he was a grandfather to Jaime and a great-grandfather to her children, Alaina, Alex, and Aiden.

Mikey was also the beloved husband of the late Julianna Goss Crespo, who passed away in 2015. Their love was a testament to the enduring power of love and partnership. He was also father to his son Carl, who passed earlier this year in August of 2023.

In addition to his role as a father and brother, Mikey was a beloved brother to Robert. Their close bond was a testament to the enduring strength of family ties.

Mikey was not only a dedicated family man but also a respected entrepreneur and business owner. His work experience showcased his commitment to hard work and innovation, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
