Kathleen Ann Corr

Kathleen Ann Corr, 81, of Margate, FL and White Plains, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, FL. She was born on December 7, 1938, in Bronx, NY to Daniel and Alice (O’Hara) Kenny.

Kay grew up in Bronx, NY, and was a graduate of St. Helena High School and Misericordia School of Nursing.  She married John “Jack” Corr in 1962 in Bronx, NY and together they raised six children and enjoyed a long and happy marriage until his death in 2004.

Kay was a compassionate registered nurse for more than 40 years.  Her happiest days as a nurse were spent at Murray-Weigel Hall at Fordham University, where she cared for aged and infirm Jesuit priests.

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Alice Kenny; her twin brother Daniel; and her loving husband Jack.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her brother, Tom (Carol) Kenny of Deerfield Beach, FL; sister Mary (Ed) Dunn of Toms River, NJ; and sister-in-law Barbara Kenny of Buffalo, NY; devoted children Mary (Scott) Withers of Bronx, NY; John of New York, NY; Daniel (Pamela) of Brooklyn, NY; Martin (Patricia) of Bronx, NY; Steven of Syracuse, NY; and Patricia (Daniel) Rivera of White Plains, NY; her thirteen adoring grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Olivia, Emma, Jack, Carly, Daniel, Meaghan, Kerri, Daniel, Juliana, Gabriel, and Alex; and her loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.

She also leaves behind a wonderful group of friends at Oriole Gardens in Margate, FL, whose friendship and support allowed her to continue enjoying life after Jack’s death; the family is so grateful for her time there.

Kay will be remembered for her devotion to her Catholic faith and to our Blessed Mother, her love for her family, her kindness and generosity of spirit, an ever-present smile, her compassion for others, and her fun-loving nature.

The family will be welcoming family and friends at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx, NY from 4 pm to 8 pm on Monday, November 30, 2020.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Clare of Assisi Church on Tuesday, December 1, at 10 am.  Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
