Kevin Cris Saavedra Avila

Kevin Cris Avila, age 28, adoring husband to Knovemb Avila and loving father to Dylan and Chad, passed away on July 23, 2022.

Kevin was born on May 17, 1994 and was raised in Bato, Leyte Philippines. He is the second child of Mr. Cresenciano Avila and Mrs. Antonieta Saavedra Avila. He grew up with his siblings Sharmaine Avila and Cris Dominic Avila. He went to college in College of Maasin in Philippines and took up Bachelor’s of Science and Information Technology and supposed to proceed Nursing School on the upcoming semester.

Kevin is a devoted husband and a father. He is a healthcare employee working as a full time dialysis technician in USRC Pelham. He worked hard to provide for his family who are still in the Philippines. He enjoys camping and fishing with his siblings and friends. He loves to sing especially classic ballad songs.

He is the kindest and loving son, brother, husband, father and a friend. His calm presence and adoring smile will surely be missed by his family and to all who knew him.

Visiting will be Sunday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Family and friends wishing to attend the visitation virtually may do so by clicking the following link at any time during the visiting hours Avila Visitation  Interment will be in the Philippines.

    Dong Kevin we couldn’t believe when we heard the news….so untimely and heartbreaking that you have to leave the world behind at 28 when your life is just about to unfold. Life is fleeting indeed. Our prayers are with you on your journey dong and our thoughts are with your family.
