Laura Recine was born in Ripi Frosinone, Italy to the late Francesco Lombardi and Michelina (D’Arduini) Lombardi. She is pre-deceased by her husband Domenico Recine and her daughter Rossana Recine.

She  is survived by her three daughters, Annunziata Recine, Luciana Recine and Rossana Castrignano and her husband Paul Castrignano; and her grandchildren: Jessica Michelle (Castrignano) Adler and her husband Zachary Adler, and Paul Domenic Castrignano.

Laura came to the United States from Italy with her husband Domenico and their young children in the late sixties. She balanced working full time as a seamstress, wife and mother creating a home full of so much love and happiness. She instilled values and an amazing work ethic to her three daughters.

Her biggest passion was her husband, the love of her life and taking care of their children and eventually her son-in-law and grandchildren.  Her other passion was cooking and Laura was an amazing cook and master barbecuer. Everything was always homemade from pastas, tomato sauce to breads and pizza with the most important and main ingredient being love.  Laura’s biggest joy is when she could see the happiness on the faces of those who sat around the dinner table of her family and friends. She made everyone feel welcomed and at home. Laura also loved gardening and spending time outdoors in the yard. The garden was always abundant with fruits, vegetables, beautiful flowers and fig trees.

Laura will be greatly missed! Our hearts are broken!
