Lia Casamento, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on March 30, 2018. She was 82.
Mrs. Casamento was born on September 18, 1935 in Italy to the late Filippo and Giuseppina (Lo Cicero) Centinaro. On June 8, 1956 she married Dominick Casamento. He died in 1970. She is survived by her daughters, Dolores Campbell and her spouse David, Josie Casamento and her spouse Holly Tighe, and Gerrie Muccitelli and her spouse Marco; her grandchildren, Davey Campbell, Lisa Campbell, Danny Campbell, Nicole Campbell, Marco Muccitelli, Jr., and Brandon Muccitelli; and many loving nieces and nephews. Lia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Heaven has a new angel. We will miss her deeply every day of our lives. God bless you mommy and grandma and may you rest in peace. Our love for you is for eternity. We will love and miss you always.
Visiting will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1027 Rhinelander Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
