It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Maria E. Figueroa in Troy, New York at the young age of 58. Maria always had a big heart and would go out of her way to care for those around her. She was a passionate person who thrived on helping others and especially being a grandmother to Justice, Makenna, and Javin Quinones. Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico she moved with her parents and siblings to New York with hopes of a better life.
Maria is survived by her three children – Santos, Sam, and John.
My dearest friend Maria, we met about 30 years ago at a playground with our children, and remained good friends.
She was so thoughtful, truthful, kind, a tuff cookie and real, that’s why I loved Maria so much. I thank God I was able to see her in November of 2021 and spend some quality time with her. My heart is broken, but I know she is in peace and not suffering anymore. I want to ask God to give her beautiful children and grandchildren the strength that they need at this time. Sending my love to them all. God bless . Rest In Peace my sister. Love Michelle.
