Marta Gadaleta, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on January 5, 2024. She was 86.

Mrs. Gadaleta was born on April 8, 1937 in Molfetta, Bari, Italy to the late Giovani Binetti and Antonia Mezzina. She came to this country in 1966 with her infant daughter, settling in the Morris Park section of the Bronx. She was a very caring and religious woman, who worked at the St. Clare’s rectory for over 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Domenico Gadaleta; her son Peter Gadaleta (wife Valeriya); and her daughter Luciana DiGiacomo (husband Bobby) and grandchildren Ksenia, Elisa, David, Alexandra and Robert, as well as other family and friends.

Visiting will be Friday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Family and friends wishing to attend the visitation virtually may do so by clicking the following link at any time during the visiting hours Gadaleta Virtual Visitation . Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:45am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, East 233rd Street and Webster Avenue, Bronx.
