Mary Louise Santiago, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on April 16, 1945, Mary lived a life defined by devotion to her family, quiet strength, and a generous heart that touched everyone who knew her.
Mary was the cherished wife of Ramon Santiago, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together they built a family rooted in warmth, resilience, and deep connection.
She is survived by her three children, each of whom she loved fiercely: Rose Hernandez, Luis Leon, and Joseph Santiago. Mary took immense pride in her role as a mother, and her guidance, humor, and unwavering support will remain with them always.
Mary was also a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren—Christina, Samantha, Luis, Raymond, Michael, Alexander, and Benjamin—who will forever remember her kindness, her stories, and the way she made each of them feel uniquely loved. Her legacy continues through her fifteen great‑grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and whom she adored beyond measure.
Mary’s life was one of quiet impact. She created a home filled with love, welcomed everyone with open arms, and found happiness in the simple moments shared with family. Her strength, compassion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and that her love will continue to guide them.
Visiting will be Monday, July 6 from 4pm to 8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 7 at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1703 Lurting Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
