Mary Nazzaro, a resident of New Rochelle and formerly of the Bronx, passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2022 at Einstein Hospital. She was 91.

Mrs. Nazzaro was born in New York City on January 21, 1931 to Carmela (Parla) Lana and Angelo Lana. She worked for Loehmann’s women’s clothing warehouse in the Bronx for many years until her retirement.

Mary is survived by her children, JoAnn Golia, Anthony Nazzaro and his wife Angela, Esther Soto and her husband Thomas, and Theresa Nazzaro; her grandchildren, Claudio Golia and his wife Gina, Anthony Golia and his wife Natalie, Larry Golia and his wife Kerry, Jonathan Nazzaro and his wife Kerri, and Rebecca Nazzaro; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Golia, Frank Golia, Luke Golia and Auden Golia- who she loved and cherished. Mary also leaves her dear sister-in-law Mary Lano and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Anthony Nazzaro, her parents Carmela (Parla) Lana and Angelo Lana, and her siblings, Angelo Lana, Carmelo Lano, Rose DiCostanzo, Jean Caccavelli, and Joseph Lana.

Mary enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and trips to the casino. She loved watching her New York Yankees and spending time with friends and family. She will be dearly missed but will always be in our hearts and cherished memories.

Visiting will be Wednesday, November 30 from 10am to 12pm, with a service at 11am, at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
