Patrick Trevetten passed away on Monday, October 12th, 2026, at the age of 73. He was the beloved husband of Bruna, with whom he shared 54 years of marriage; the devoted father of Marc and Christina; and the adoring grandfather of Vincenzo, Marcello, Lorenzo and Giuliana.
Born in Langonnet, France, on April 21st, 1953, Patrick discovered a love for cycling from an early age and went on to compete with the Chasseurs de Gurin in the Fédération Française de Cyclisme . In 1971, he took a leap of faith and left France for the United States, arriving with little more than determination and the dream of building a new life. He spent nearly fifteen years working in the restaurant industry in Midtown Manhattan before opening a business of his own. Patrick met life with optimism and steady persistence; believing that hard work would build the life he wanted. He passed that conviction on to his children and grandchildren, and it continues to shape each generation of his family.
Patrick was a devoted fan of Les Bleus and rarely missed a stage of the Tour de France. He found peace in his garden and in nature, and he was deeply rooted in his community as a member of the Morris Park Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 16th at 11am at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx.
