Ramon Luis Vargas, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on June 23, 2018. He was 82.
Mr. Vargas was born on July 1, 1935 in Puerto Rico to the late Ramon Luis and Marta (Rivera) Vargas. He is pre-deceased by his wife Europa (Acevedo) Vargas, who died on June 17, 1990. He is survived by his daughters, Martha Dilone and her husband Rafael and Louisa Lastella and her husband Alfred; his grandchildren, Maria Bonilla, Frank Bonilla, Maria Delcarmen Pillado, Ana Europa Aviles, Frances Aviles, Frances Robles, Rafael Dilone, Jr., Crystal Dilone, Christy Bonilla, Nicole Bonilla, and Jimmy Bonilla; 22 great-grandchildren; his brother Eugene Vargas and his wife Isabel; his sister Lusa Vargas and her husband Nathan; his brother-in-law Gilberto Acevedo and his wife Rosa; and loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Thursday 3-8pm, with a funeral service at 7pm, at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be Friday 11am at Oakland Cemetery, 2 Saw Mill River Road, Yonkers.
