Remo Severino Ambrosi, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on May 24, 2019. He was 85.
Mr. Ambrosi was born on January 23, 1934 in New York City to the late Guido and Mery (Maestri) Ambrosi. He served in the US Navy and for many years before his retirement he was a cutlery grinder.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Irma Elena (Zanella) Ambrosi; his daughters, Rita (Steven), Debra, and Corinne; his grandchildren, Michael and Christina; and his brother, Nick. He is pre-deceased by his brothers, Bill, Gus, and Dino.
Visiting will be Wednesday 7-9pm & Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 10am at St. Clares Church, 1027 Rhinelander Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 1201 Balcolm Avenue, Bronx. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in his memory to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, www.StJude.org
