Robert C. Figueroa 51, of the Bronx, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 14th.

He is survived by his mother Yvette Lanausse and his father Jose Figueroa. He leaves behind his daughters, Ashley Figueroa of Yonkers, New York, Giovanna Figueroa of Webster, Massachusetts, Amanda Betances of New Jersey, and Yaakiera Marrero, his niece with whom he loved as his own. Robert leaves behind his grandchildren, Arianna Ruiz, Maelani and Darius Givins Jr , Rya Marrero and another grandson on the way. His sister Josie Capone of New York and her husband Ralfy. He leaves his cousins Christoper Morales and Nico Rosado with whom he loved as his brothers. Rob is predeceased by his brother Jason Figueroa of Bronx, New York. Robert leaves behind a lifelong friend Alicia Alvarez, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was loved and will be deeply missed by so many.

Robert was a union worker at Union Drywall finishing tapers for many years. He was currently the superintendent at Breaking Grounds, where he was respected and loved by everyone in his community. Robert was a man with a heart of gold and would always put a smile on anyone’s face. Rob lived life on his own terms. He spread laughter and love wherever he went. He enjoyed family time and watching sports.

Visiting will be Thursday, April 23 from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Interment will be private.
