Vera Calabrese, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on December 16, 2025. She was 93.
Mrs. Calabrese was born on December 24, 1931 in Naples, Italy to the late Michael and Rose (Urti) Andriuolo. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Lawrence Calabrese, who died on October 14, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Locascio and her husband Salvatore; her son, Michael Calabrese; her grandchildren, Kristen Iazetti and her husband Nicholas, Michael Calabrese and his wife Madison, Frank Locascio and his wife Heather Tryzna, Torre Locascio and Chantal Aristy, and Nicholas Locascio; and her great grandchildren, Zoe Locascio, Liv Locascio, Javi Aristy, Zoe Locascio, Aliana Iazetti, and Michael Iazetti. She is pre-deceased by her siblings, Antionette Bruno, Louis Andriuolo, and Carmine Andriuolo.
Visiting will be Friday from 8:30am to 10:30am at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1703 Lurting Avenue, Bronx. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne.
